Love
Gel pen on canvas, 70х60
by Liana Moon
The painting captures the state of mind. when "two become one. At first one loses the sense of boundaries of one's body, and at this moment the other serves as a bridge to a completely new feeling: you seem to merge with the whole new world - the world becomes you, and you become the world".

Ananda Maitreya Maha Thero
Sculpture (work in progress)
by Rina Dzhava
The sculpture of Ananda Maitreya Maha Thero by Rina Dzhava is a Budart tribute to one of the greatest masters of meditation in the 20th century. Ananda Maitreya (1898-1998) was a Sri Lankan Buddhist monk and a scholar. He lived a modest life and was highly respected at home and abroad as a teacher of Buddhist philosophy. He achieved highest levels of meditation and was able to explain subtle points of the Buddhist doctrine from his own experience. But at the same time, he remained simple and accessible. When asked about the essence of Buddhism, Ananda Maitreya used to say, “To do good deeds, to say good words, to think good thoughts – this is Buddhism”.

Gates of Shambala
Oil on Canvas, 80х100
by Alexander Andromeda
The painting of the magnificent and majestic mount Kailash, made during our Meditative Art Creation reality show, brilliantly captures the atmosphere of solemnity and purity surrounding the legendary pilgrimage site.
For Eastern religions, Kailash is more than just a mountain: it is a pillar of the world and the entrance to the pure land of Shambala. Every year thousands of pilgrims come here to complete a 52 km walk around the mountain – a journey that is both outward and inward.

Four Elements
Oil on Canvas, 60х70
by Nataliya Klyucheva
"I wanted to show the energies of time and their interplay in space. Perphaps, you can see lights of the city and their reflections, or people who disobey powerful currents of time and elements.
A small open cavern in the rock at the bottom of the painting symbolizes something that is unknown and luring, but not intimidating. The light flowing from inside invites you to come in and promises to save you from all hardships."

Living Water

by Nataliya Klyucheva
"The inexorable flow of time, unstoppable, like a river. The girl is an allegorical representation of life and youth. The old man stands for wisdom and the transience of the world. But there is a thing that connects them - the Living Water. A symbol of infinity, compassion, and peace."

Amitabha: Red Buddha of Infinite Light
Limited Edition bronze Sculpture ed/18, 38”x 32”x 18”
by Sherab "Shey" Khandro
"This sculpture was commissioned to grace the heart center of the Amitabha Enlightenment Stupa in Sedona, AZ. The first in the edition is part of this magnificent monument to peace and healing.
The stupa is an ancient form of sacred architecture. They date back to the time of the Buddha 2600 years ago. Rare in the West, these sacred monuments are a part of the landscape in the East where Buddhism originally took root and flourished. A stupa is believed to be the living presence of the Enlightened Mind, embodying the qualities of the Buddha’s wisdom and compassion."

"The Buddha gazes peacefully in meditative equipoise. The bowl, a represents a Buddhist offering bowl, symbolizing the essence of what is important in our lives.
The blossom, a blue lotus, symbolizes our potential for full awakening. At it’s center golden seeds of Wisdom guiding our journey. The swirls represent the movement of energy, the dots seeds of potential set in motion thru meditation, contemplation and intention. May we know Peace. Peace in our hearts, Peace in our world."
Breaking Free
Acrylic on Canvas (in a private collection), 12”x 24”
by Sherab "Shey" Khandro
"This painting is inspired by the tradition of finding symbolism in images from nature. The dragonfly is often associated with breaking illusions, transforming our perceptions. This piece speaks to breaking free from the conceptulizations that keep us locked in our pain and our fear. It invites us to look through he layers of our experience to the insubstantial nature of all that exists. It is an invitation to awaken."
Green Tara: Goddess of Action
Acrylic on Canvas (in a private collection), 18”x 24”
bu Sherab "Shey" Khandro
"Green Tara, a female Buddha, is one of the most revered figures in Tibetan Buddhism. Considered the “Goddess of Universal Compassion,” Green Tara represents compassion in action. She is most often seen with her left leg folded beneath her in a meditation posture, her right leg extended. From a foundation of meditative ease she is ready to spring quickly into action for the benefit of all beings.
Green Tara has become a role model for living an engaged, heart centered spiritual life in our modern times. She calls us to action by her example".
Padmasambava: The Lotus King
Framed acrylic on board, 48”x 60”
by Sherab "Shey" Khandro
"This painting took a full year to complete. It is the third piece in a three part series depicting the three kayas or three bodies of the Buddha. Time was spent working on this piece on both the East and West coast and states in between.
According to the teaching, an image of the Buddha is as though the Buddha himself has appeared in the world; His qualities of loving kindness and compassion a radiant presence in the world.
The creation of this work becomes a spiritual practice dedicated to the benefit of all who experience it. Whether it is understood or not the blessing is there potent, radiant and immeasurable, drawing forth the very best qualities of our hearts.
May the hearts and minds of all beings be nourished deeply and may peace and true happiness prevail."
Our Time is Now
Acrylic on Canvas, 24”x 48”
"Around the globe the Buddha is recognized as a symbol of Peace and Compassion.
A rich and vibrant blue, the Medicine Buddha is revered for his qualities of healing. His presence points to the wellness present within and around us; our inherent mental, physical and spiritual well-being.
Set on a ground of deep orange, I am reminded of the creative fire burning within each of us. I chose this striking combination of blue and orange to weave together the ideas of healing and the powerful creative spirit embodied in the human experience. My invitation is to engage our vast reservoir of knowledge and experience to promote the healing of our planet and it’s people."
Vajravarahji: Dance of the Red Dakini
Framed Acrylic on Board, 36”x 60”
by Sherab "Shey" Khandro
"Compassion in its Wisdom display has many faces. The mystical qualities of the divine feminine are multi-faceted and layered with meaning. The wrathful aspect, Vajravarahi, reflects a fierce, fiery, passionate display of profound love. She will stop at nothing to free us from the bonds of our suffering. She is compassion in action; it’s very movement through the shadows of our mind."
Wind Dragon
Acrylic on Canvas 12”x 36”
by Sherab "Shey" Khandro
"Fact or fiction? The dragon speaks of the story beyond the bounds of our ordinary senses; a story of the infinite layers that lie beneath our day-to-day perceptions of reality.
This dragon, energy alive within my being, pushes through the clouds of perception, reaching for the moon. Rising into the dark, the mysteries of the unknown."
